I was born in Barcelona in 1949. I still had a ration card. I lived in Barcelona until 1980 and since then I have lived in Creixell, facing the blue sea. I got to know the sad and dirty Barcelona of the post-war period that I escaped by reading unrepentantly or with marathon double-program sessions in the neighborhood cinemas. I studied medicine and also literature and through the twists and turns of life I have had a long academic professional career as a medical anthropologist and historian of science. On the threshold of my retirement, in 2015, I already knew that a blog could be an interesting tool to freely explain what came to my mind without locking it in academic corsets, I also knew that the enthusiasm acquired in relation to cinema in my cinephile adolescence, I could now put it into practice. From here you can find the vast majority of what I have written for more than half a century, if it pleases you, and the visual documents that I enjoy.
